ZHONG CHENG

梁奕焚 LIANG YIFENG (b.1937)

Liang Yifeng, born in Changhua, Taiwan, graduated from the Art Education Department at National Taipei Normal University. From 1958 to 1963, they studied modern art under the guidance of Mr. Li Zhongsheng and were a member of the Central Taiwan Artists Association. They were also members of the Republic of China Modern Printmaking Association and the Republic of China Sculpture Society. In 1965, their work was selected for the São Paulo International Biennial in Brazil.

In 1982, Liang Yifeng played a key role in founding the Modern Eye Painting Society and the Republic of China Modern Painting Society. In 1985, they became a director of the Li Zhongsheng Modern Art and Education Foundation. In 1987, they established a painting studio in the SoHo district of New York.

 

Known for their extensive body of work, Liang Yifeng has created hundreds and even thousands of artworks, earning recognition and favor from collectors and galleries. They have amassed an impressive collection of nearly 5,000 pieces. Creating in New York and influenced by both Eastern and Western styles, Liang Yifeng's work possesses a unique and distinctive Eastern regional style.
